 *An illustrated lecture featuring the houses in Jane Austen’s real and imagined worlds ~ we will be visiting Chawton, Bath, Winchester, and Kent, pairing pictures of real houses with descriptions in the novels of Austen’s various cottages, manors, and estates ~  Barton Cottage, Longbourn, Mansfield Park, Sotherton, and of course Pemberley!

    • Thanks for visiting Marianne – wish you could be here in Vermont not only in cyberspace! – Iris did a great job – felt like we were there in these English houses looking over Jane Austen’s shoulder…!


    • Yes, Sue, it was great – I had visited some of the houses but not all, so once again itching to go back! – one can never get enough!

      Iris did a lovely job mixing the real with the imagined. Wish you could have been here too!
