Hi, from Elsa Solender in Manhattan. I am writing to tell you about a very clever book I am reviewing for JASNA News. I predict you will enjoy as much as I have: “The Scandalous Confessions of Lydia Bennet, Witch” by Melinda Taub, due out October 3 from Grand Central Press. My deadline is December, but I thought you’d like to know about it before JASNA News is published if you do not already have an advance copy.. It is the last kind of thing I thought I would like (and admire) but I was “caught” by the very first lines, and am continuing to enjoy each reading session. I particularly admire the author’s mastery of satiric style, which is evident on virtually every page. I do not know Ms. Taub, but if she speaks as well as she writes, she should be a highly entertaining lecturer.
All the best to you, Elsa
