  1. Jane Austen changed my life. Her work started me off on a long
    search for others who could write with humor, good sense, and
    keep me entertained. Patrick O’Brian is the perfect example- he
    wrote about people during the same period in history, he wrote
    entirely different kinds of stories but with the same feeling and
    sensitivity as did Jane. Thanks, Jane
